Accessibility

We want visitors to be able to explore 1848 using a keyboard, assistive technology or the device that works for them.

Using this site

A skip link leads directly to the main content. Headings organize the page, links and form controls have visible keyboard focus, and videos and music load only when requested. Direct YouTube links remain available without JavaScript.

Media and third-party content

YouTube controls and the externally hosted playbook are provided by other services. Their accessibility can vary. Complete caption, transcript and assistive-technology coverage has not yet been verified; this page is not a claim of full WCAG conformance.
